Why should Abercrombie and Fitch use our plan?

Abercrombie and Fitch should use our plan becuase it will help the people over seas who have been working in sweatshops almost their entire life. These people that have been working in sweatshops have been dealing with unpaid overtime, hazardous working conditions, verbal, physical, and sexual abuses, forced pregnancy testing to be hired and while employed, excessive long working hours causing stress, and harm. We need to inform Abercrombie on what it is doing to their workers. We need to inform the world of what is going on and what the story is behind our favorite brands of clothes. Our plan to move the company to America will help reduce all of the effects listed above. It will help our buying customers to not overpay on the clothes. Abercrombie should listen to our plan because if word gets out that the company is using a sweatshop to produce our clothes, they may lose a lot of business. Also, part of the money we are spending on Abercrombie's clothes is going to the countries where the sweatshops are. The money should be going towards our own country, economy, and debt.

Our Plan!

We will open our Abercrombie and Fitch factories in a remote areas because there isnt very many jobs there, and it will provide a safe job for those who are in need of one. We are doing this because it is a good way for those who don't live in  huge cities to have a good factory job, and it may reduce pollution because our factory will not be around other big factories. We will hire high school graduates because we think this will be a good starter job for them, and like in the book "Nickel and Dimed" Barbara said it was a good way to make money because working in a factory can get you a higher status in your job. We feel like our plan will be successful, and it will help those who were in the sweat shops, but Abercrombie and Fitch may not agree with us because they like not paying their workers and selling over priced clothes to make a bigger a profit. The downfall to moving our factory to America is that must pay of workers more, but we can make a big profit if our prices stay the same, but we do not want that. Money will be the biggest pitfall as we move the company to America. the money that was used over seas to create the sweatshop will now be used to help pay our employees and make our clothes, our customers will help us out with the buying of our products because they will be less money.

Why should Abercrombie and Fitch come to America?

Our plan is to close all the sweatshops on the other side of the world that is making our products, and we are going to start a new and improved clothing and fragrence line that will be made in America. We will re-open factories that have been shut down because of the sweatshops and have better working conditions for the employees and not employ children because of child labor laws. Our clothing line will have all types of jeans, dresses, shorts, and shirts, but it will be not so over priced.

What is a Sweatshop?

A sweatshop is a harmful working area that men, women, and children work at for very low pay. These sweatshops can be hazardess to many children because thye are forced to work in dangerous conditions that are meant for a grown adult. Abercrombie and Fitch has employed laborers to work long hours for little or no pay. The workers are also being put in danger because their working conditions are so unsafe. Also when workers try to voice their opinoins they are either fired or beaten, and that is not right. Abercrombie and Fitch has such bad sweatshops that their company has been put on the Sweatshop Hall of Fame along with Hanes, Khols, and Walmart. This problem needs to be resolved because it is not fair for these people to be working long hours for hardly any money when the products they are making are being sold in America for alot of money.

What is Aercrombie and Fitch?

 

Abercrombie and Fitch is a clothing store that is located in most malls and they sell men and womens clothing. It also sells fragrances, accessories, and swimwear. They claim to make "authentic" American clothing, but their clothes are really made in sweatshops on the other side of the world. This is why we need to bring the company to America to make more jobs for Americans and less harmful to those who work for less money on the other side of the world.
